This is such a great question. I hope you Teacher Skeleton I’ll just wait until it’s quiet shirt are doing something with your imagination and keeping the results. If it weren’t for all the time it takes to dismember a skeleton without doing any telling damage to the bones, and reassembling it later to delight students, I think it might be possible. But teachers are so busy with lesson plans and marking. The school disciplinary system stinks. Overly severe, one-size-fits-all punishments and zero-tolerance policies are standard. Admins get to exercise significant flexibility in applying those punishments, but there’s no middle ground between finger-wagging and road-to-expulsion, which leads to grossly disparate punishments. One kid might get a stiff talking to for smoking herb in the bathroom while another comes into the office to surrender the x-acto knife in his bag (knowing that the school considers it a “weapon”), and for his trouble receives a mandatory 3-day suspension. Stuff like that.

Admins aren’t really about education. SchoolTeacher Skeleton I’ll just wait until it’s quiet shirt administration is a bureaucracy in every sense: regulated, standardized, and incredibly risk averse. I once got called into a principal’s office once because I’d let students choose their research topics (with my approval), and some had chosen topics that others found alarming, who then told their parents, who told the principle, who wanted very dearly to make sure his school didn’t end up in the Dallas Morning News. That’s the sort of crap principals have to think about. They get almost no reward when a school performs more than adequately. They can lose their career if the school ends up in the news.
